This residential project based in Mudeford is currently on going and soon to be completed. More photographs will uploaded on completion. The project comprises one family bathroom , one master ensuite shower room and one Cloakroom. The client want ed to bring the outside into the space and as a result the scheme reflects the beautiful greens of nature outside and the elemental blues of the sea that resides close by.
Within the family bathroom we decided on a pale sage green and white scheme where the herringbone pattern, brick shaped tiles merged into one another. The colours ran from green into white, across the floor in front of the free standing bath and leading up the feature wall behind it. Sanitary hardware was specified in a brushed nickel finish to keep the colour palette calm, clean and simple and of a high quality to create a statement. Accent wall sconces sit either side of the circular wall mirror with green shades picking up the natural garden theme.
The Master en suite remained in the same colour palette as the family bathroom with herringbone style brick tiles merging in the opposite colour combination from white to green up the vanity and shower wall. Due to space limitations thin elegant wall lights were chosen in the same brushed nickel finish as the hardware.
The downstairs cloakroom scheme commenced using mid to dark blues giving this small space a feeling of sophistication however as the design progressed the shade of blue lightened to reflect a more sky blue from the exterior. White tiles were used to line the walls which then juxtaposed with a contrasting blue paint on the walls to show off the simple beautiful sanitary hardware.
The highlight of this room is definitely the flooring whereby the hallway white oak flooring flows through into the cloakroom, merging into beautiful encaustic retro style hexagonal floor tiles within the space. These tiles were selected in a denim colour-way that sits splendidly adjacent to the oak floorboards.
